The 2nd annual Rocket City Trombone Christmas was definitely successful. Yes, the total number of trombone players was less than the first year. But, this is a good thing. This allowed us to spread out and maintain an appropriately safe distance during a pandemic.
This year we had 20 trombone players on stage.
The original venue was outdoors at Huntsville's Big Spring Park. Due to weather, we had to move to an indoor venue. Our indoor venue was The Cafeteria at Campus 805. Campus 805 was able to host the event last minute. Thank you very much Cooper Schrimscher for helping us make the event happen!
A huge thanks goes to our conductors for the event.
Jose L. Lopez-Ramos
Marsha Asquith
Viljar Weimann
We had several individuals volunteer to help with the setup of the last minute venue.
I want to publicly thank the following individuals
Kerri Thomas
Nick Esslinger
Beth Sullivan
Emmaleigh Sullivan
Bill Gullatt
These outstanding people were vital to the safety of the entire event! They helped keep social distancing guidelines in place as well as reminding people of the importance of keeping a mask on.
Screen Door Pictures, LLC set up several cameras around the room in order to capture the event completely and provide a professional video for everyone to enjoy online.
